Shi, Fee, Belle, Jamie and Aisyah came over to my place for Pizza, Video Games and a Movie. Picked them up from Jimmy Yummies and had some burgers there. They made me this giant birthday card highlighting my transformation from dorky 13 year old to... A less dorky 18 year old! I am VARY touched.
So we had Pizza and we played some Video Games. Shi was the most excited. She grabbed the controller and got ready before I turned on the XBox... So we played some racing game. Fee was really the most reckless driver. Countless trees, lamp posts and fences were demolished by car. Belle was the slo... Most cautious driver haha.
We had no cake, so we put candles on the pizza and blew it out before watching Army Daze, which is one of my favourite movies now. Maybe NS isn't so bad.
Walked everyone off to the bus stop after the movie
Saturday:
Saturday was mostly a family thing plus Uncle Mervyn, Aunty Julia, Uncle Anil, Aunty Naleeza, Uncle Ivan and Aunty Kim. Talked to loads of people I haven't seen in ages. Aunty Naleeza made me a cake and hers seriously are the best I have ever tasted. Got really interesting gifts including an Art Book and a box of photography cuttings collected since the 70s!
Monday:
Monday night was spent at Timbre with Sonia, Sam, Marcus, Germaine, Kin, Kevin and Denise! Sonia and Sam got me this awesome tee shirt in a bag decorated with post-it notes. And the rest... GOT ME DRUNK! Hahahahah! I had so much to drink a lot of the night was a blur, but a camera was present so the pictures brought back some memories haha! I do remember having a shit load of fun. I think the pictures here are a lot more entertaining than my narrative of the night, so I'll let them do the talking.
THANKS MANY MANY.
Screamer Sisters.
Kamikaze
Wedgie.
And that... Was my 18th. Thanks for everything guys. I really appreciate it.
I love ya'll!

This is why I just deleted my Friendster account. I am sick of random friend messages with tacky graphics. ENOUGH.
I'm on to Facebook now and forever.

I need to start updating this blog. It is dying. I hope this song brings even the slightest glimmer of life.

Headbanging in the kitchen and moshing with the curtains.
Dancing to Lady Gaga, Benny Benassi, MGMT and... Well... There might have been one or two Britney songs there...
I'd never hear the end of it if anyone caught me dancing in the kitchen at one in the morning, but ah what the hell. Lady Gaga is great. You know she is one of only 20 people to ever receive early admission to Tisch? And she appeared in burlesque shows in the Lower East Side? Hahaha, talk about multi-talented.
Anyway, I am off to bed. In a few hours... My circadian rhythm is dead.
4:35 AM, Daytripper

The film cost my $4.50 and developing and scanning cost me $18. I am slightly annoyed because whoever developed the photos was a bit shoddy and my film had quite a bit of dust on it, resulting in the white spots in most of the photos. Apart from that, I am quite happy with the results. I don't know how the hell to make it bigger, but if you click on a picture it loads full size in another window.
And finally... I was running out of things to shoot so... Yea... Self portrait...
3:30 AM, Moving Pictures
Tuesday, March 3, 2009
Since my previous blog entries have been shit boring and lacking pictures I have decided to post something vaguely interesting and containing pictures. Thus, I bring you...
Movies I Need To Watch!
Wolverine's first movie.
Who really holds the power? The governments? Or the banks who keep your millions of dollars to do as they please with?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Funny thing is that a few days ago I was reading about Pirate Radio Broadcasts from ships off the coast of England.
Once again... Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Please, please don't disappoint!
Quentin Tarantino. Violence and Comedy walk hand in hand. And, I'll be 18, old enough to watch it too.
Ah looks like it's worth a few laughs.
Since I am a complete Starwars nerd it will be something I can relate too. Only they will probably dumb down most of the inside jokes to humour the non Starwars crowd.
What we all wish Poly Life was like... What's wrong with theatres in Singapore? This was released like August 29th LAST YEAR. Where the hell is it?
That be all.
2:09 AM, Rant
I have finally decided to read a book. I realise I've gone a year without touching a novel. Thus, I have decided to read Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. I got it 3 months ago and haven't touched it.
Taking a break from it now because it is disturbing, depressing and downright gross in some parts. Oh it's funny, in a bleak acerbic sorta way, but that's Chuck Palahniuk for you...
Since yesterday I have been positively obsessing over the Nikon D90 that I might get in March. No guarantees, but it's a high likelyhood. Hopefully...
Over and out.
The Who?
I'm Dinesh, Din or Dinny depending on who you are and when in my life you met me. I wanted to be a Fighter Pilot when I grow up, but that was when I was growing up. I'm studying, rather, attempting to study to become a Journalist. Preferably a photojournalist. Oh I love photography. In fact, now that I think of it maybe being a photographer for National Geographic is preferable. See, you learn something about yourself when you write an about me section. I like music. I've listened to it all my life. From Bryan Adams when I was a kid to Arctic Monkeys and Interpol now. Hell, I'm trying to learn to play music on Guitar. Yes, the ever so cliche "I wanna be a rockstar" dream that we're better off forgetting. I had no social life till I was 16. Now I have one and Mass Communication is slowly strangling it. Damn. Such a waste, doing a communication course while running out of people to communicate with. This is, to the best of my knowledge, who I am. But hey, what do I know?
